Hal Bisset
Director
Hal has been a leading figure in the social
housing sector for over 30 years.
Hal was founder and CEO of Ecumenical
Housing, known for its research and policy advice as well as one of the first
Community Housing Providers to undertake property developments.
As a partner of Ward Bisset Consulting Hal
has provided policy and project development advice across the sector including
State and Commonwealth governments.
He was Chairperson of the Victorian
Ministerial Advisory Committee on the Supported Accommodation Assistance
Program. Hal was also Director of the Australian
Housing & Urban Research Institute and the Australian Institute for Health
& Welfare.
He has served as Chairperson of the
Community Housing Federation of Australia and the National Community
Housing Forum.
Hal holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons),
Diploma of Education and the post-graduate Bachelor of Divinity.
Hal is a member of the Australasian Housing
Institute. He was recognised for his contribution to social housing with a
Centenary Medal in 2001 and investiture as a Member of the Order of Australia
in 2005.
