What is a Housing Association?

Housing associations are charitable, not-for-profit organisations dedicated to providing long-term, affordable rental housing for low-income households. Most housing associations identify with a particular geographical region although these regions do overlap.

Housing associations are highly skilled at tenancy and property management. However, the range of skills and resources that housing associations are able to invest in project development and project management is limited, particularly with larger scale and more complex projects.
